Subject: PEC with ETX80?

I have an etx80 that is now tracking well in polar mode with an 497hc.
PHD is guiding the scope through ascom. Can I record a pec via phd and
upload it to the 497? can I save it on the pc to upload incase of
nonparked power loss? Lastly will it work with the etxx80 as it seems
the tooth count on the final gear (worm wheel?) is 94? If the pec would
work I could take off the added weight of a guide scope and camera.
Mike here: I don't know if PHD will upload a PEC to the #497 but it can be uploaded with PEC Editor. See the article "PEC Data Editor/Viewer" on the Helpful Information: AutoStar Info page. As to whether it would be useful on an ETX-80, I don't know.
