Subject:	Autostar Envisage Error Message

While taking photos I get "An unhandled exception has occured in your
application. If you click to continue the application will ignore this
error and attempt to continue" . It does continue but I can't change any
settings such as ecposure time. I have to shut down the system and start
over and it will happen again after a few photos. Under "details they
say something aboput changing a JIT switch in the program (Just In Time)
but I don't have a clue how this would be done . Can you help?

Mike here: While I can't answer your question directly, be certain you are running the latest version of the Autostar Suite software and a compatible Windows version. Also, while I don't recall seeing that error mentioned, check the Meade Autostar Suite troubleshooting page on their web site.

I have been a fan of yours for quite a while. I was wondering if it was
possible to use the Autostar suite with a webcam?

Could there be ANY functionality? If not, is there a way to order just
the LPI or DSI? Thanks for your help and website.

Mike here: I don't recall any reports of webcam usage with the Autostar Suite but I doubt Meade would have allowed that. And the LPI/DSI comes with the Autostar Suite bundled.

I was just wondering if you or any of your faithful readers can tell me
what exactly 'drizzle imaging technology" is. I know the Meade LPI (or
it's software) uses it. Is it only used by the newer LPI models ,or do
ALL of them use it?? Thanks for your help....and keep up the GREAT work,
Mike!!!! Clear Skies All!!
Mike here: It is now in the Autostar Suite software so all the Meade imagers can use it. As to what it is, I did a Google search and quickly found these:

My name is Edward. I found your wonderful website while searching for
the Meade Autostar Suite program. I have an 8" LX200 telescope and I
have lost my copy of the Autostar Suite. Can you tell me how I can find
a copy online of this program or how I can acquire a new disk? I have
noticed that Meade only has the updates but not the whole program.

I am in the US Navy stationed in Bahrain. I am hoping that you can help
me or lead me in the right direction.

Thank you,

Edward
Mike here: Yes, Meade doesn't provide the whole application online. You will need to contact Meade for a replacement CD-ROM.
