I wonder if someone can give me advice of the above telescope as to how
clear the images are on this telescope.  I have an old mead (manual
one!) so would hope that this would provide much clearer views.  Also do
you know of a good computer programme that can be linked up to the
above?

Mike here: Check the Helpful Information: User Observations page as well as the ETX-125 feedback pages. There are many Macintosh and Windows software applications that can control the ETX with an Autostar. See the Helpful Information: Autostar Info page for some (like ScopeDriver, AstroPlanner). There are also commercial applications like Starry Night and Voyager III.
