Subject: Hi Sent: Monday, November 22, 2004 11:07:49 From: Charles Washington (charles.washington@ntlworld.com) I am very new to astronomy but have decided to have a good start. I have an ETX125. To compliment this I have purchased an LPI camera and with this came the Autostar suite. It is here that I seem to have fell at the first hurdle I have loaded the software and printed of the manuals. On of the first things explained in the manual is how to turn the starmap on and off. On the toolbar I have the box which should contain this toggle but it is empty I also am missing the telescope one as well. Could you please advise me as to whether this is a common problem and if there is a patch for it. I have trawled your site and MIGHTY it really is a project that any person would truly be proud of but have not found any reference to my problem. Thank you in advance for any info you might be able to direct me to. Kind regards Charles Washington (uk)Mike here: You likely need to get the update. It is mentioned in my article "Autostar Suite on a Macintosh"; there is also a downloads page for the Autostar Suite. Both are on the Helpful Information: Autostar Info page. Also, PLEASE read the Email Etiquette item on the ETX Site; your message was originally DELETED UNREAD as SPAM due to the ambiguous subject line. Thanks for understanding.
Subject: Update for AutostarSuite, LPI and DSI posted Sent: Saturday, November 13, 2004 17:27:08 From: Richard Seymour (rseymour@wolfenet.com) On 12-Nov-2004, Meade posted a combined update for the Autostar Suite (StarMap), the LPI and the DSI. It is now version 3.18 (previous update was 3.16a, release was 3.08) Visit http://www.meade.com/autostar/update/ for the download, and read the sub-pages for what got better. This update allows you to use the LPI under the DSI's control program. have fun --dick
