USER ITEMS WANTED
Last updated: 16 June 2010
[Home!]
By popular request, I have created a page where users are welcome to have posted items (related to astronomy and ETX or DS telescopes please) they wish to purchase. Please send Wanted notices to Mike Weasner with pertinent details. Please let me know when the item(s) have been purchased so that the entry can be deleted. I hope this service turns out to be valuable to both sellers and buyers.

Notes: The entire transaction is between the buyer and seller. This site and Mike Weasner are in no way responsible for any portion of the transaction(s), errors that may arise, lost payments, missing shipments, or any damage or other loss resulting from selling or buying any item listed on this page.

Buyers and Sellers are advised to be aware of many SCAMS and other Fraudulent activities; some site visitors have sent me some examples. Please review this page: Online Buying Warnings.

Subject:	ATX Alt/Azmuth Part Needed
Sent:	Sunday, June 13, 2010 08:14:25
From:	Ron Harries (rharries@telus.net)
I've tried my best to locate the following part for my ETX 80 AT.
Probably an ETX 60 or 70 part would do. The part is the nylon (I think)
piece that screws into the bottom of the fork stand. It is the first
part of the lower azimuth lock. I've tried phoning Meade with no luck.
They minute I asked for a part they asked if there was anything else
they could do. I can't understand why they won't sell you small parts.
Especially when they are made of nylon and destined to fail. Also tried
Cloudy Nights with no luck to date. At the moment the nut/screw is raped
with "duct tape" to hold it tight.

Is it possible for you to post this on your web site, possibly in
classifieds? If there is a charge, please let me know and I'll pay.

Thanks

Mike here: You might try Telescope Warehouse (link on the Astronomy Links page). There is no charge for posting FOR SALE or WANTED ITEMS on the ETX Site.

And:

Thanks, I've tried them with no luck to date.

Thanks again - Ron Harries

Subject:	ETX 90 Secondary Mirror
Sent:	Thursday, March 25, 2010 04:14:28
From:	Michael Kedzierski (reddleader68@yahoo.com)
Can you post an ad for me on your website stating that I'm looking for a
replacement secondary mirror for an ETX-90 or equal that is a 1/10 wave
flatness. Been looking for one for years now. Replay should be directed
to my email with the subject stating "ETX Mirror"

Thanks
Michael
