Jupiter-Venus Conjunction

Posted: 13 August 2025

Wednesday morning, 13 August 2025, the "double planet" of Jupiter and Venus were 1° 28' apart. As seen in this iPhone 15 Pro Max photograph (Night Mode, 3 seconds, 1X lens), there were some clouds in the sky. Jupiter is above Venus.

Also seen in the above photo is my Nikon D850 DSLR with Tamron 150-600mm lens. I took this photo of the planets (f/8, 1/30sec, ISO 100, FL 600mm). The insets show magnified images of the planets (from the original full size image). Three of the Galilean Moons of Jupiter are visible in the inset image. The gibbous phase of Venus is visible in its inset image.
