Posted: 18 October 2025
Friday evening, 17 October 2025, I had another short observing session with Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon).
1834 MST: Spotted the comet, 7x50 binoculars. It appeared as a faint fuzz ball in the still bright twilight sky (end of Astronomical Twilight was not until 1911 MST.
1853 MST: There was a hint of the tail visible, 7x50 binoculars.
I did not see the comet with the naked eye, due to skyglow from Casa Grande.
I took these images of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) using a tripod mounted D850 DSLR with 70-300mm lens and an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
1845 MST: D850 DSLR (f/4.5, 6 seconds, ISO 5000, FL 70mm)

1902 MST: iPhone 15 Pro Max (Night Mode, 10 seconds, 2X lens)
The comet will continue to brighten and get higher in the evening sky as it travels southward in the western sky. Hopefully it will become naked eye visible from here soon. By the way, Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) was discovered at Mount Lemmon Observatory in Arizona, about 10 miles south of Cassiopeia Observatory.
