iPhone 15 Pro Max
Mounted the D850 DSLR at prime focus + focal reducer.
1816 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.
Focused on the star Vega and locked the telescope mirror.
1820 MST: Wi-Fi ON.
Using SkySafari 7 Pro on the iPhone, slewed the telescope to Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) low in the western sky.
1823 MST: StarLock ON.
Began imaging the comet.
1828 MST: Viewed Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon), 12x50 binoculars. The tail appeared to be about 1° long.
1831 MST: Wi-Fi OFF.
1832 MST: The eastern sky was brightening from the rising waning gibbous Moon.
1840 MST: Took this image (slightly cropped) of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon), prime focus + focal reducer, StarLock autoguided, 10 seconds, ISO 5000.
The comet was getting too low in the western sky to image.
1842 MST: StarLock OFF.
Viewed Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon), 102X. The coma and tail were nice in the eyepiece.
Viewed Saturn, 102X.
1851 MST: LX600 OFF.
1859 MST: Took this handheld iPhone 15 Pro Max photograph showing Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon). It was taken with the Camera app (Night Mode, 10 seconds, 1X lens).
