Subject: Just a thought that occured to me while browsing the moon gallery Sent: Thursday, April 7, 2005 10:39:44 From: steve (swilson1@fuse.net) I was thinking it would really be interesting if you could take a photo of any given crater on the moon and turn it into a 3-D model using some program so you could get an idea what its like to see the moon from ground level.Do you know if somthing like that that might exist?Mike here: There are apps that sort of do that but you need height info as well to get an accurate depiction. That's what NASA (JPL) does.
