Subject: re Help loading Autostar Suite Astronomer Edition Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 09:50:09 From: Pete Dickens (pete6354@tiscali.co.uk) I had the same problem with the DSI Autostar CD. It would grind to a halt when installing. I copied all the files to a blank CD (not a straight diskcopy, but by dragging the files via windows exlorer). The copy works ffine.

Subject: Help loading Autostar Suite Astronomer Edition Sent: Sunday, December 11, 2005 09:28:57 From: Michael (caju12831@yahoo.com) HELP, i just purchased the ETX -80AT-TC and am trying to install te Autostar Suite Astronomer Edition software. When i install directly from the DVD supplied with the Scope, i get 3/4 through the process and get an error D:/gsc..... could not be opened. It's trying to load picture from the DVD to the C: drive and can't find them? Is this a known problem and if so, HOW do i load it? Thanks for your help. Mike Kearney New to this allMike here: Perhaps you have a bad DVD. (I'm surprised it is a DVD and not a CD-ROM.) I don't know if this will work for the DVD but try copying the installer application from the DVD to your C drive. Alternatively, contact Meade for a replacement.
Subject: Re: lpi problem Sent: Saturday, December 3, 2005 08:29:08 From: mhogansr@comcast.net (mhogansr@comcast.net) The current version of the Autostar Suite links to the new "Envisage" program, not the original LPI application. There are several differences between the two, including some of the available tabs/buttons. So far, I have not found a comprehensive users manual for Envisage, but there is some info in the DSI manual. When using an LPI, not all of the features work as expected, e.g. the Magic Eye focusing aid does not work although it's been a couple of months since I last tried it. Meade may have fixed it by now. If you installed the original Autostar Suite, the LPI program is automatically with it, and can be run separately. It's in the Meade\AutostarSuite\LPI directory. Try running it and see if you get the buttons you're looking for. Regards, Mike Hogan
