What is the FOV in degrees of the ETX 125 @ prime focus.. I can't seem
to find anything on that.

Mike here: I haven't measured it. But using "Dudak's Field-of-View Calculator" (http://www.dudak.baka.com/fovcalc.html) I get 1.3 degrees, depending on the format.

I am looking at used ETX-125's and have come across both old and new
models i.e. plastic fork vs. aluminum fork+bearings. I have read
everything you have to say about the ETX-125. Bottom line: is it foolish
to purchase an older model just to save a couple hundred dollars? Are
the upgrades that important or are they minor? I appreciate your time
and thankyou for your advice. Your website has been a great help!

Mike here: Yes and No. Certainly the older model can work fine (it has for many users). Certainly the newer model has improvements. Will that be worth the extra cost? Your money. Only you can say.
