Subject: etx-90ra tracking problems ... Sent: Monday, November 22, 2004 18:12:36 From: MIKE HOLLIS (hollis@stars.gsfc.nasa.gov) Do you have any info on the best way to tune up the drive mechanics on the etx-90ra drive system? Here I am referring to any alignment, lubrication proceudte, type(s) of lubricant to use, and specifically where to lubricate. For example, the gears as well as the wear pads upon which the fork mount is supposed to slide, and the two cylindrical central shells that nest inside one another. Maybe this info is embedded in Tech Tips but I was unable to find it. Cheers, Mike HollisMike here: You will find several articles on ETX-90RA adjustments on the Helpful Information: Telescope Tech Tips page.
Subject: ETX-90 price? Sent: Saturday, November 6, 2004 15:27:14 From: Michael Munion (wanderer@easyave.net) Would $525 shipped for a ETX-90 with UHTC Coating including Autostar 497 and the 884 tripod be a good deal? Thanks, MikeMike here: Standard price for a new one would be $645. So if new, that would be a good deal. However, keep in mind that the new Premier Edition models are to start shipping later this month.
