#494 Alignment Stars

Compiled below is a list of the alignment stars for the ETX60AT. If
you're a newbie like myself and my wife, we spend an hour or two before
an observing session trying to figure out which alignment stars to use,
pouring over our books and charts and sometimes picking the wrong star
simply because its on the maps, but not in the astro-controller.

So to simplify things we compiled this list, printed it out and keep it
in a notebook along with our astronomy books and maps. I thought about
putting the list on our website, but figured it would be best to give it
to you. Post it if you like. I'm sure there are other newbies like
ourselves who are still groping around in the dark.

This EXCEL attachment is an elaboration on the text file list of
alignment stars for the AutoStar 494.

The stars are named followed by the constellation they are in and a
description of their location.
