Extragalactic Supernova Project
Astrophotography

Updated: 24 January 2019

After reading the book "Supernova Search Atlas and Guide" I decided to start my "Extragalactic Supernova Project". The 90 images in this photo album are the "reference" images for galaxies of Mag. +11.5 and brighter, and were taken with a Nikon D850 DSLR at prime focus of the Meade 12" LX600 telescope. Images (in NGC order) are North up East left. Click a thumbnail to see a larger version. Should I get lucky and image a supernova in a galaxy for which I have done a reference image it will also be posted here, as well as on my Supernova Album page.
