iPhone 5s: Moon with new Afocal Adapter

Posted: 20 September 2015

As expected, Friday, 18 September 2015, had cloudy skies. Saturday was partly cloudy with some improvement after sunset. I decided to do a short session in the observatory since the Moon was visible and I could do some test astrophotography with a new smartphone afocal adapter.

Open: Saturday, 19 September 2015, 2006 MST
Temperature: 78°F
Session: 858
Conditions: Partly cloudy, breezy

Conditions were not ideal this night but the Moon was visible after I opened the observatory. 2013 MST: viewed the Moon, 83X. Then began working with the "Orion SteadyPix Universal Smartphone Telescope Photo Mount" for an upcoming review. Two images from my tests this night:

Seeing was not very good due to the clouds so closed up after completing the tests.
