Crescent Moon, Earthshine, Globular Clusters

Equipment:
12" f/8 LX600 w/StarLock
2" 24mm UWA eyepiece

Camera:
D850 DSLR

1819 MST: LX600 ON, StarLock OFF, High Precision OFF.

Viewed the crescent Moon and Earthshine, 102X.

Mounted the D850 DSLR camera at prime focus. Took these images of the Moon.

I then waited for the sky to get darker before imaging some globular clusters for my Milky Way Globular Clusters Project.

Focused on the star Aldebaran, locked the mirror, and SYNCed on Aldebaran.

1850 MST: Wi-Fi ON.

I used SkySafari 7 Pro on the iPhone to GOTO tonight's globular clusters.

1853 MST: StarLock ON.

I began imaging some faint and small globular clusters. Unfortunately, the focus changed during the imaging and seeing deteriorated, so I was not able to get good images of some of the clusters. I will re-image those on the next dark night, which might be a while as cloudy nights are forecast and the Moon is waxing. Here are the Milky Way globular clusters I got this session.

2008 MST: StarLock OFF.

Viewed Jupiter, 102X.

2022 MST: LX600 OFF.

2030 MST: Took a Sky Quality reading.
