On Saturday, 28 March 2026, Oracle State Park Ranger Michael Bain and Oracle State Park Volunteer and Dark Sky Advocate Mike Weasner represented Oracle State Park, Arizona's first state park to be designated as an "International Dark Sky Park" (2014), at the Fountain Hills Dark Sky Festival, held in Fountain Hills, Arizona, an "International Dark Sky Community". There were many exhibitors, special speakers, probably several thousand visitors (last year's event had 3000 attendees), and several telescopes set up for Sun and night sky viewing.
