Some time ago - last summer I think - we had chatted about how to set up
my LX-200 to communicate with Sky Safari+. Well, I finally had a chance
this weekend to get the scope out and my brain dusted off (yeah. . . I
know) and fiddled around with the Sky Safari settings.

For some reason, my iPhone works great when "Meade LX-200 GPS" is
selected, but the iPad will not communicate with those settings.
However, when I select "Meade LX-200 Classic", my iPad works GREAT!

Now if I can only get the hand box to work as well as the iPad/iPhone -
but that is another discussion for another day.
Thanks for listening.

Mike here: I recall there was a bug in an older version of Sky Safari Pro that required the LX200Classic to be selected for the LX200GPS. That was eventually corrected. In the current version on both my iPhone 4 and iPad (Retina Display) I use LX200GPS. By the way, Sky Safari Pro works great with the GC Wi-Fi adapter I recently reviewed. You might want to check my review, especially about the AutoStar II app.
