Shortly after the EXT90 came out I bought the spotting scope version to
use with a home made eq mount, now I would like to add the goto base to
the spotting scope but don't see any mounting holes on the base (for the
ears). Im thinking the goto will not fit my ext90 spotting scope, is
this correct?

Thanks Chuck
Mike here: I haven't seen a spotting scope model for over 10 years. Look for two small holes on both sides of the OTA near the rear of the tube. That is where the fork arm tube adapters attach. You can always get a GOTO GEM and tube rings/dovetail.
Added later: Just found a photo of the Meade "Weaver ETX Spotting Scope" and indeed there are no tube adapter mounting holes.
