I am the not so proud owner of a Meade ETX-125 AT telescope. Ever since
I purchased this telescope, all I have had is problems. Since purchasing
this telescope in 2010, it is been returned to Meade four times for the
same repair, and each time, I received the telescope back from Meade, it
broke down the first time I used it. The declination gear in the motor
housing keeps falling off on its own, and prevents the telescope for
moving properly. It is obvious this is a manufacturing defect that
should be corrected by Meade Instruments. The last time you broke down,
I contacted Meade, and they stated that I would have to pay for the full
repair, plus shipping, if I wanted the telescope repaired. You can guess
what I told them what I thought about this.
 
Ever since then, I have removed the optical tube from the fork mount,
and am now using the telescope as a guide scope on my Celestron CGEM HD
telescope. The optics are great and work perfectly. Works great as a
guide scope.
 
I decided to keep the fork mount for now, and possibly use it for
something else later on, and sell the accessories I had purchased for
this telescope instead. If anyone is interested in purchasing any of
these items please contact me and maybe we will be able to come to a
agreeable deal. All of the accessories I'm selling are in excellent
condition, and just like new.
