Subject: Canon G7 Sent: Friday, November 28, 2008 12:02:57 From: Renee Dallimore (rdallimore@stny.rr.com) I"ve scoured your web site prior to asking this question in the hopes that the answer would be there (and your web site just ROCKS!). I'm looking for the answer to: 1. What type of SPECIFIC T-ring would I need for a Canon G7? Anybody out there with a specific make and model? Many thanks!Mike here: T-Ring adapters are typically for cameras with removable lenses. Since it doesn't appear that the G7 has a removable lens, you'll need something specific to the G7. If it accepts filters, you may be able to find an adapter that fits the filter thread. If not and if the camera has a tripod mounting hole, you'll likely have to get one of the "universal" style adapters; see the Accessory Reviews: Astrophotography page.

Many thanks! I've tried the Scopetronix Digi-T setup and other than the two issues of vignetting (which was known, of course) and the time to change eyepieces..it's adequate. The G7 allows for other lenses to be attached once the locking ring is removed...but doesn't look like T-rings will accommodate.... I figured if you didn't know or have it on your site already..it couldn't be done! :) Thanks again!
