In November 2002 I received a Meade LXD55 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain with UHTC through Oceanside Photo and Telescope. I then started this web site to provide support for LXD users as I do for ETX users on my ETX Site. (You may want to check out my ETX Site as there is a lot of general information there applicable to the LXD telescopes.) If you know of other LXD sites please let me know about them. I recommend that LXD55/75 users sign up for the LXD55/75 Telescopes Yahoo Group. But if you are not comfortable with the Groups, feel free to write me with questions, tips, etc. at mweasner@optcorp.com.

Details on the December 2007 theft of my LXD75-8"SC and most of my observing and astrophotography accessories are available on my "LXD75 Theft Page".
In January 2008 I placed an order for a new LXD75-8"SC to replace the stolen one. After waiting for over two months I finally gave up and switched my order to a 8" LX90-ACF (Advanced Coma Free) telescope. It arrived on 7 April. Click to view my LX90 reports. I will continue this LXD55/75 Site as long as there is interest in it. Accessories that I review using the LX90 will be posted here if they are applicable to the LXD55/75 models.
